Coaching: self-employed file handled with vague numbers, no FOIR check
A long, high-intent self-employed enquiry that the officer never converted into numbers. The customer volunteered three income streams, two running EMIs and an exact vendor quote, and asked four times for a precise rate, EMI or net disbursal figure. Each time she got a range, a "roughly", or a deferral to the credit team — and ended up doing the net-disbursal arithmetic herself. No fatal: nothing false was stated, insurance was handled correctly, the tax question was properly refused and a business-loan referral was offered honestly even though it may cost the sale. The gap is capability, not conduct.
“Rs 8,00,000 requested · rate quoted as "around 13, 13.5, depends" · 60 months · EMI "roughly 18,000" (actual at 13.5% is Rs 18,395) · processing fee "2% or so" · ITR and GST documents discussed · no FOIR calculation attempted”
