Clean: disbursal held — three discrepancies caught and escalated (call 1 of 2)
The pre-disbursal call working exactly as designed. Reading the sanction letter aloud surfaced a 1-lakh gap between what the customer was told and what was sanctioned; the insurance question surfaced a 21,000 rupee premium ticked by someone else; the third-party payment question surfaced 15,000 in cash taken by the sourcing agent as "file charges". The officer held the disbursal on the call, summarised all three back, issued a reference number, and separately flagged that documents had been collected on the agent’s personal WhatsApp. No money moved on a file that was wrong in three places.
“Sanctioned Rs 6,50,000 (customer was told Rs 7,50,000 by the DSA) · 15.25% p.a. reducing · 48 months · EMI Rs 18,236 · processing fee 2% + GST = Rs 15,340 · insurance Rs 21,400 found ticked on the application · net disbursal would have been Rs 6,13,260 · customer had additionally paid Rs 15,000 cash to the sourcing agent · disbursal held, escalation ref ESC-2026-09-4471”

Clean: file corrected and closed out, disbursal released (call 2 of 2)
The close-out call. Revised sanction of 7,30,000 confirmed against the uploaded quotation, rate unchanged, new EMI stated against the old one, exact net credit dictated for the customer to write down, and the 13,000 shortfall against the vendor quote raised by the officer before the customer got there. Insurance removal confirmed and the refusal re-recorded; the cash refund logged with its own reference. Probing for fallout surfaced a fourth finding — the DSA had called the customer overnight to tell him his loan was stuck. The officer corrected it, added it to the escalation, and told the customer to route all further agent contact through the bank.
“Revised sanction Rs 7,30,000 · 15.25% p.a. reducing, unchanged · 48 months · EMI Rs 20,481 · processing fee 2% + GST = Rs 17,228 · insurance removed (Rs 0) · net disbursal Rs 7,12,772 · Rs 15,000 cash refund logged under CRM-2026-09-8802 · disbursal released”
